January 10th Meeting!!

Our topic for January is Human Trafficking

This meeting we started off with a presentation about the prevalence of human trafficking around the world and what UNICEF is doing to help stop the cycle of trafficking. We also told our members about what the warning signs of trafficking look like and what we can do (such as conscious consumerism).

A couple updates!!

Hot Chocolate Fundraiser- We have a joint fundraiser with the Century Unicef Club this weekend, on Saturday 12th from 10:30 to 2:00 pm at the People's Food Co-op!! Come and help sell hot cocoa!! All proceeds go to help fight Human Trafficking.

Human Trafficking Documentary- We will be having a screening of the documentary, Not My Life, about the journey of a girl through trafficking. It will be after school from 3:10- 3:50 in the door 1 conference room on Thursday, January 24th.

Skate With Unicef Fundraiser!!- We will be having a skating fundraiser at the REC Center on Febuary 9th, from 8:15pm -10:15 in the south rink. Skates and tickets will be pre-sold for a reduced price the week of the event (Prices TBD). Hot Cocoa and cinnamon rolls will be sold from Cinnabon. Start telling your friends about it!!
